May Developments would like to welcome you to its blog on plans for the Canterbury Arms, Brixton.  This blog will provide updates and news on the proposed redevelopment of the Canterbury Arms with a new nine storey residential and community use building, including around 40 new apartments and a versatile community space on the ground floor.

A planning application is due to be submitted this summer. The development would be the first stage of the regeneration of the wider area, including Planet Ice and International House which are both Council owned and expected to be redeveloped in the next few years.

The Canterbury Arms is at the corner of Canterbury Crescent (SW9 7QD) and Pope’s Road. It backs onto the Council-owned Brixton Ice Rink and stands next to International House which is across Pope’s Road.

May Developments is holding a public exhibition to seek local people’s views and suggestions ahead of a planning application being submitted to Lambeth Council later this summer. Please come along, meet the team and see what is being proposed. You will be able to leave written feedback at the exhibition or via the contact details below.

This blog will be regularly updated, including with all the materials on display at the exhibition.
